Mantis prices

I have been out of the game for a bit....but

$100 for a 3 inch peacock
$100-then down 80 for a 3 inch ciliata

Is this crazy or what?

I think you can find them cheaper if you continue to look. Also, shipping is expensive so i would try to find one locally. I found my G chigara for 16 dollars, and the same shop has another for around the same place.

I would keep asking different local places if they can order them and for how much.

Those are mind-boggling to me. mantis shrimp are cool, but 100$?
Ciliata i would expect 20-30$ and Peacock maybe 30-50$.

Suppliers will charge what the market will bare. As far as I can tell, the prices charged by collectors have not bumped up, but I've seen a few local shops triple their prices in the past year. There is only one way to deal with this - pass!

man that is crazy. I would just check other places i guess. Last resort maybe if you cant find one anywhere else cheaper.

How about O. Vulgaris (Octopus) Larger ones for $180....

I am a supporter of this guy (new store) but that is crazy

yeah but most people dont relize that stuff they just want to buy the stuff and be happy, most extremely rich people will buy whatever someone says they need or they should get, also unexperienced people only know to believe one group of people and those are the ones working at the LFS and if they say thats cheap for one they will buy it
