Mantis roomates

is it possible to house two mantis shrimps in the same tank. i just got a H. Glyptocercus, and i love her but also kind of wanted more active mantis. was wondering if in future it would be possible to house another one since she is so small and reclusive. it would be another small species, but would any of them work?

i currently have 2 in my 10 gallon, granted i just put them in last night. ill let you know how it goes.

they will eat one another. plain and simple. Solitary animals.

hmmm....i suspected they might, but i've heard of some not fighting if one was an especially non-intrusive species. could be wrong though.

well one is dead. didnt look as though it had been attacked, just looked like it died. came out and was moving then ended up on its back.

ya that sounds more like a mishap from acclimation or shock, not death by bashing

yeah i was told that one of the two of them used to curl up all the time...so i think he was pretty weak to begin with...the one i have left is eating...loves mysis, so thats good
