Mantis set-up?

I have a 25gl aquarium with an Eclipse 2 hood (the filter is built into hood and uses floss media with carbon). The original light went bad so I replaced the light with a 32w sunpac retrofit bulb (pc bulb that's half actinic and half white). Is this set-up good enough to use for a mantis tank or do I need other equipment too? Please include any pro's or con's.
Thank you in advance!

That should be fine dependng on species you want to keep. You could keep a peacock in there, but I wouldnt. The large peacocks (>5") can smash glass. If I were you I'd pick P. ciliata. They need at least 20 gallons when full grown (just a bit smaller than 4") But they are spearer so don't keep fish with them unless you want them to be food. Then again keeping fish with most mantises is iffy. Some won't even look at it, some will kill ALL. You can also keep a snaily CUC with P. ciliata. I think atlantisaquarium.net (or something like that...It is a Rc sponsor) has a P. ciliata under the name banana mantis. Good luck
