Mantis Shrimp

I am just about ready to purchase my first mantis shrimp. I have had hard time trying to find one. I came across a baby Peacock Mantis, (SMASHER). It is about 1 1/2 inches long and as thick as a pencil. I had a few questions before I make the purchase:

1) Is it a good idea to get one this small? It already has the deep green shell and colorful bottom.

2) How long will it take to grow? It will be housed it a 10 gallon tank, Fiji sand, a few pounds of rock, power compact and a SL60 wetdry.

Any information will be great!

Thanks

Rob

Small is fine, after all, part of the fun in owning one is watching them grow.

My guess on growth speed will depend on how much you feed him.

enjoy!
