Mantis tank setup.

I am going to get a 10gal or 15gal aryclic tank, I know glass will be safe probably too but I like arylic. I had the choice of blue or black background, I was thinking black would be better for a mantis but I dunno..

on my main tank, I am upgrading my skimmer to a euro-reef and was going to use my CPR BakPak skimmer on the mantis tank and use a couple pieces of LR and some LS from my main tank.

The 10gal or the 15 will come with a nice light and hood and sometime down the road I will buy like a T5 or PW and put it in that hood so I keep some softies..

what do you think of this setup for a Peacock mantis.. I am hoping to pickup a 2" mantis.

Sounds awesome, I'm also looking into setting up a tank for seahorses. I have a 125 reef and 46 refugium. Going to connect them together with the seahorse tank for water quality. Any idea how much water flow for the seahorses??

Funny how I put this topic in the wrong place and it's still going. I was also wondering if anyone has a Mantis Shrip for sale on Long Island, NY. or how to keep them. Are they refugium safe??

my mantis tank will be next to my 60 and about a ft higher then it. would it be a good a idea to overflow it into my main tank and use a small return pump into the 15 or 10.. the only concern I have with that is will the overflow create bubbles in my main.. on my main there is two drilled overflows on each side with the return in the center so the overflow coming from the mantis will be right next to one of my overflows for the main tank so I thought the bubbles might just pass right through  but i dunno.

if it does not work it is alright, would have been nice to have the extra water vol, euroreef skimmer and uv.
