I have to keep manually dosing calc & alk to sustain the proper balance because I have no refrugium. Any suggestions on how I can manually dose kalk or limewater to better maintain that balance?

The easiest way is to use b-Ionic two part solution. Do you have test kits to measure your ALK, Calcium, and Magnesium?

Measure all three first. You want ALK between 7-11 dKH, Calcium around 425-430, and Magnesium 1250 to 1350. If you are using a salt that is low in calcium and Magnesium like IO, you;ll want to raise your Magnesium level first, then Calcium. Here is a calculator that will help you.
