March Meeting – Sunday March 27th 2-5 pm – Annual Meeting

In addition to the ARK bylaw changes - we'll be officially voting for our Board of Directors (BOD).
As required by our bylaws - The current BOD has listed it's nominations here.

Hope to see everyone on Sunday!

And for the purposes of clarity, with regard to Joe's point on elections... both Board and Officers, this is just to determine who's driving the bus for the next 12 months. The way we are organized neither directors nor officers have much authority - very, very little. And there are no benefits of office except the satisfaction it might bring you.

The Board is composed of Officers and a few board members at large. They meet as needed. But if I were a betting man, I'd bet they'll decide to meet 5 or 6 times next year - every couple of months.

But the Board exists in order to deal with "club business" so we an keep that boring stuff out meetings. So when we get together, it's just reefin' fun. ;)

Those meetings are posted on our website and are open to any member. So if you if don't wind up in an elected post after the elections, but still want to be heard - BY ALL MEANS - go to a Board meeting and tell them your thoughts! This club exists for the pleasure of its reef keeping members, so go tell 'em what would make you happy. I guarantee you your input would be most welcome.

But FIRST come to the March meeting so we can elect this next set of officers and board members. Somebody's got to do it... ;)

I will be there, but may be a little late (son's swim lessons)!

Greg -- if you are pruning a bunch back, would love some blue-tip acro and/or digi... I think my tank is finally getting in order to start giving acros a go.

Thanks!
RJ

Can I interest anyone in a green with blue edge monti cap?

This is an old picture ... this thing is twice the size now and blocking flow to the acro frag next to it. Can break off frags or give the whole colony.

Also does anyone have a few extra empty 5g buckets I can borrow for a few weeks? Need to move in April and a few more than I have would be great.

I'm still rebuilding my sps colonies. I'd love some nice frags even if it takes some $$$ You all know I'll be giving back as soon as possible.
Greg do you still have the blue tort for me.
See y'all Sunday, Neil

I'd love a piece of that monti - if available. :) But either way I'll bing a couple of 5g buckets I can loan you.

Neil, are you looking for monti cap? And if so, do small pieces count? As you know, my tank is quite small.

It's AMAZING how little (but important things) can fall thru the cracks. We've spent stupid amounts of time preparing for this meeting, and now this. LOL.

No worries. Joe's fixing it out at the ARKSC homepage as I type this. So the address should be out there shortly.

If anyone has any trouble, please send me a PM. See you soon!

We are all set - I'll post it here also.

Thanks Joe for your hospitality - and sweet tank setup! I love the self-wiping skimmer, going to have to try DIYing that. Nice to see everyone!

Agreed! Great meeting! But next year I will turn down any nomination for Mr. Money. I'm sure 2 years will prove enough. ;)

A few new members! Obi-dad won the door prize. Woo hoo! Will post a pic in our website.

It's ALWAYS nice to meet new reefers, and enjoy chatting with friends. This was our one meeting a year that was actually a "meeting", so much appreciation out to all who came and put up with the business details. Thanks!

And - of course - many thanks to Grand Poobah Joe, for making his home available. It's always a treat to see that open-top, awesome rimless reef! ;)

Yeah great meeting. Joe the tank looks great cant wait for my tank looks like that. just want to say thank Greg, Joe, and Steve for the corals.
