I have a margarita snail that is laying eggs an my glass. From the information I can find they do not usualy reproduice in captivity. I can find a few other instances of snail eggs in aquariums but nothing abut them hatching or not hatching. I think I saw the first one abut a week ago. Anyone have any expierence with this.

Sounds like fish food to me. :)

Most things that breed do not do so successfully in a tank. Tons of varying reasons for this. However some species do seem to do so on a regular basis like the mini brittle stars, asterina's, and bristle worms for example.

Most of the grazing snails we add to tanks over all have a good success rate. Just leave things be and if your tank is the right environment, they will hatch. Most will get eaten as food for your other tank mates either way, but I don't think there is much you can do really to increase their odds without it being a drastic step like building a breeding tank or removing all the predators adn such from your tank.
