Marine Depot Live

coral hoarder

New member
I've always bought my coral from local reefers or LFS. I've never purchased any coral online. I received an email from Marinedepotlive.com offering 25% off all coral and free shipping on orders over $99. They seem to have a solid selection of coral. Thinking of putting in an order. Anyone have feedback on Marinedepotlive.com?

I'm also a bit worried about the coral getting fried during shipment in this dreadful heat.

Should be fine. I haven't ordered livestock from MarineDepot, but plenty of dry goods. They should have similar care to the other big online livestock sellers (vivid, diversden, bluezoo, etc)

After your order I would call sales team and have them change shipping to pick up at local sort, then you can pick the package up yourself when your local courier branch opens that day - minimizing chances of bad handling and time spent in a truck.

We would love for you to give us a try. There are currently over 500 great corals on our website and new corals are added weekly.

The 25% sale and the free shipping at $99 promotion does end on the 8th, so make sure to take advantage before it expires.

As for the heat, we do added ice packs when needed and all corals are well-packaged in insulated boxes. As noted by zrogst, picking up from the UPS center is a great option. You are able to pick up your corals as soon as the center opens (where the temperature is usually cooler and more stable) and the package is not sitting around in a hot truck.

If you have any questions, definitely free free to email us or give us a call. :D
