Marine plant fest

Well, the weather was good this time and the water was fairly clear, about 25 ft or so. The reef was pretty good, did find some rarer reds this time on the reef. We found several very good sites on Long Key and Ohio key.

Folks that did not come, you missed out.
Good food, good water, good marine plants and goodtimes.

I did find Cymopolia barbata this year and a neat red, Renouxia, a bad sign for stahorn coral. Also, another red was found on the reef, Galaxaura obtusata.

Try and buy those in shops.

Anadyomene was common near the high school in Marathon.

I found a new one, Ernodesmis verticillata this time.

Speaking of Marathon, do you know if there are any places on Marathon key where it is legal to collect critters? We have a trip planned to go down there, and I didn't wanna go collecting where it wasn't legal.
