Marineland 300 thinking of upgrading need opinions

I currently have a 183 cube tank that I love but I have a Blue tang and a Rabbit fish and an Achilles tang which are all growing, so I was thinking about upgrading. I figured it was a good excuse to use to get my boyfriend to go along with it. Anyway instead of going the custom route again I was thinking about the Marineland 300 gal. Does anyone have one? How do you like it ect. Any downfalls to this tank? All advice is appreciated.
Thanks Gina

Well I have the 150 version and love it. The build of this tank is very good. Think there are a few local reefers in Michigan that have them and I have heard no complaints.

I mean all my fish are fat and healthy but I figured it couldn't hurt to give them a bigger home right? Also my Boyfriend and I just bought a house which means our living room is much larger then our apartment was so although my tank looks good in the room I do have this wall that would look really nice with a big tank in front of it.

Hey Gina here's a thread for Deep Dimension tanks: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1717802

There's a few build threads on this forum too. Just search keyword Deep Dimension and some should come up.

Most folks are happy with their purchase. I think you should go for it. Congrats on the new house. I should be moving into mine early 2010. Then I'll set up my new tank.

BTW nice to see fellow lady reefers with big tanks : )

how about of in front of the wall.. make it inside of wall :hmm5:

Love mine. IMO, the only drawback are the overflows. They are a bit small for the size tank so I had mod them to allow more flow. Ideally, I would have liked a coast to coast.

Has anyone had a problem with having MH's in the standard canopy? It seems a little short to me. I wish I could do an in-wall system but there are no walls that aren't supporting walls that I could use. Now I have never had more then 1 overflow in any of my tanks and to have to modify them to get a good return, not such a big fan.
