Marineland cube

Looking at purchasing a 60g marineland cube. On one review they said it was noisy, any one else have experience with this setup

To me, "noisy" would indicate the person has a problem with the overflow...either not set up properly, or pushing too much water through the sump, etc.

The tank shouldn't have anything to do with noise, or maybe I'm missing something.

I have a deep blue 60g cube and I believe the overflows are similar. Mine isnt loud (to me at least) and it is running the stock durso standpipe. If you're worried about noise but are set on the tank you could run the OF in a Herbie style with the 2 holes, and route the return pipe up and over the top edge of the tank.

Most retail overflow systems can be noisy if you flow too much water through them..
A valve on the output side of the pump to adjust its flowrate is a simple way to help with that..

I had the Marineland DD Cube - was one of my favorite tanks - not noisy - all depends on how you plumb it, and how much water you push through it.
