Marinepure

I am currently running a Red Sea Reefer 350 (72 gallon display) with 85 pounds of live rock and two (2) 8x8x4 blocks of MarinePure. I don't find it too much :) i would say you are good ;)

Are 6 blocks excessive in a 200 gallon. I also have 200 lbs of live rock in the display.

Never such a thing as "excessive". Bacteria will colonize only to the needs of your tank. Whether you have a pound of rock or 1,000 pounds of rock, it will only provide enough bacteria to filter your tank. (exaggerated example of course) Marine Pure is no different.

If your looking for nitrate reduction, then I would add them all in a big pile. Make a really thick horizontal stack, and hold it together with something. I would want as much oxygen free space as possible.

You sound like me...I have a 90 DT and 46 gallon fuge... 250+ lbs of live rock between the two... and thinking about getting a couple blocks of marine pure as well

I agree... I want more....but need a bigger tank first.

I like the look of a tank that's packed with liverock.. so many caves and hiding spots
