Maroon Algae Help

Help I am a newbie and came home from work and have red/maroon looking clots of algae on my sand bed.? any tips to this? I have 12 snails and 4 shrimp reccomend anything else?

I had that too, and I didn't know what it was. Turns out it is cyano and not good. I'm working on getting rid of it....
water changes
siphoning
more flow
less light
less feeding
