maroon and black and whites?

I have a maroon gold stripe and i recently bought two black and white clowns from my lfs. I was wondering if i should have a problem with one of the black and white trying to pair off with the maroon? The two black and white and about 1 1/2 the size of the maroon. They have been getting along so far. I 'll try to have some pics up tomorrow.

also the black and whites swim together and the maroon just hangs out in his rose bubble tip........

it's possible.

i had to consolidate tanks for a few days resulting in little other option than a medium (2, 2.5") maroon female being in a 50g tank with a pair of ocellaris...first couple of days, they played well together...day 3 the maroon shredded both ocs fins, and chased the female to a point that it jumped out of the tank. the maroon quickly moved in on the male and began doing the 'dominant/submissive' dance with him.

in other words, it's not so much a problem of one of the black clowns pairing off with the maroon...it's more a problem of the maroon eliminating one (or both) of your black clowns. if i'm understanding you right, the maroon is smaller than your blacks, so while i wouldn't rule out aggression, it probably won't be too horrific right off. eventually, that maroon is going get bigger...and more territorial.

anything is possible, but i'd say the odds of calamity are high, especially if these three fish are in a 29g.

yea thanks for the replys. I just couldn't pass up on the australian black and white clowns since like everywhere online say they are really hard to get.

I would probably try to find a new home for the maroon. Even if they 'might' get along ok, it would be pretty sad if the maroon killed them, or even one. My maroon is satan!

This will kill yah everytime  I think we all have done this in the past at one point. However, the Maroon may be fine for a while (a year even) but it usually comes to a head as they grow in size. The Maroon is highly territorial and from what I can tell it's a 29 Gallon, it will eventully try to run the others out, and likely kill them.

I just did the same thing in my tank(150 g). I have a maroon and just got a mated pair of true perculas from Dr's. He has been pretty aggresive towards them, so do u guys think it would work in a tank this size? I also bought a green bubble anemone with the pair and now the maroon wants to host it as well. What do u guys think?
