Maroon Clown Injured!!! Pls Help!!!

I bought a small maroon clown yesterday and put him straight into my QT. This is the first fish to ever use my QT and today he doesn't look good. His right fin barely moves and he looks like he's shedding (what looks like) tissue all over his body (especially the right fin). The only thing I can think of is that I have too much current in the tank. My QT is a 2.5gallon minibow and I'm running a HOB filter rated for 10gallons. Could this be the cause? I kind of blocked the intake tube a little bit, so there isn't as much current now. My question is that will his fin come back to normal? Will he make it? Help please I don't know what to do from this point. I didn't want to buy a fish anymore because I just wanted to buy more corals, but this one was so pretty I couldn't pass it. I really don't want this guy to pass.

yOU DID great USEING A qt!!! Sounds like your fish might have brook. If it does it wont live long without treatment.

BUT treatment isent that hard!!! :)

you'll need to run, to a lfs that carrys formilin. and you'll need to give your fish a bath in it.

Im having a really hard time remembering the proceedure. Make sure to read directions carefullly! You'll need a bucket, some tank water, and somthing like 1 or 2 DROPS of formilin, drop the fish in with a airstoine and agian i THINK you bath it for 9 minutes.. but please look it up before you do it!!!!

It will save your fish if its brook. you may also want to treat the QT with maracyne 2. helps all sick fish :)

he will if you treat it and to it correctly. brook can kill fast, so do it today if you can. i havent heard anything but good things come out of treating them with formilin tho. (but dose accurately, to much formilin and its a gonner as well
