maroon clown problem

My maroon clown's yellow striped around his face below his cheek spines looks like they are peeling. Could this be to to him defending himself against another fish. I do have a 3 spot damsel. Do u think this is a disease or is it a result of another aggressive fish. Should i quarentine the fish or i was actually thinking of trading in the 3 spot damsel, thanks for your input!

The damsel is very aggressive and it sounds like your clown is stressed. I would trade the damsel. Are those the only two fish in your aquarium? Catching the clown and putting it in the QT tank may be more stressful than removing the damsel (assuming that is the issue).

the other fish i have are a yellowtail damsel and a naso tang but the 3spot damsel tries to boss them around

All very aggressive (save the tang). It might help if you re-arranged some rock work. Kind of confuses the resident fish's sense of territoriality.

Hum,

You need to check into Brookelynella. It can look like the slim coat is peeling off the fish.

He could have an injury from another fish.

What other sympotms does it have?
