maroon clown stressing out bta

i got a maroon clown and bta at the same time expecting the maroon to take some time before taking to the bta. well i was wrong and he took to it immediately and hasn't left it alone since or given it time to adjust, leading to a stressed bta. it doesn't open much, it kind of retreats into itself. i finally was able to seperate the maroon from the bta yesterday once i noticed the bta started detatching from the rock. within hours the bta looked better, it had reattached and i thought it would slowly recover, but this morning i see it has detatched again. what do i do? does it just need more time or is it too late now?

pics are very helpful but just give him time to attach properly. mybe turn off some powerheads or try covering him with some well ventilated tupperwear or a strawberry basket that works too. maroons can beat on BTA like no other so make sure that it is WELL aqcclimated before adding maroons they take to almost any anemone instantly IMO

i have the bta covered with some type of netting, very well ventilated, it's the like those bag things that tangerines come in sometimes. also i have a 24g mantis tank, with over 100w of lighting, could i move it into there or would that be too much stress?

IMO I would leave it be and let it move to where it wants to go. In my experience with BTA's they will scoot all over until they find just the right spot for their liking.

Let it try and recover where it is. if it is doing well in the tank let it do its thing. once he opens up and is settled in try introducing the clown but make sure the anemone is at least 3 to 4 times the size of the maroon because of how rough they are

I bought a baby RBTA a few weeks ago. Very small as I got a good price on it. I thought my Maroon pair would leave it alone as it was so small. They found it within the hour. A few hours later the F Maroon bit off a tentacle, the male finished off the same tentacle a few minutes later. I thought for sure I would have to put the nem in my fuge. I decided to wait. The next day they were much less aggressive. Its now the males Nem, but only the female feeds it. Nem is basically doubled in size and has only moved about a half inch from where it 1st attatched. My male cannot fit inside the RBTA, and the male is only 2" approx.
