Your maroon clown is probably getting used to the sting of the anemone. Your anemone is a Long Tentacled Anemone (M. doreensis) and they prefer and naturally live with their column buried in the sand. It is important to note that LTA's are not natural hosts for Maroon clownfishes, which naturally host Bubble anemones. Just curious as what type of lighting you have?

so your saying that the clown still might go to it after he gets used to it? or sould i get a different aneomone?

Iv seen plenty of maroons go into LTA so I can say that your clown will more than likely host in ur anemone!
