Maroon Clownfish

I'm currently working on a stocklist for my 150g that is cycling at the moment. I currently have an Occy and allard in my 46g (bad call, I didn't get the allard, my dad did -_-). Im probably going to put the occy in my empty 29g and the allard in my 20ish gallon fuge.

Anyway, a LFS has some amazing colored maroons. I've been reading up on them on WWM. I understand they live forever and get massive and aggressive. If they get to much, I know I can get rid of them as long as they don't get Brook.

I have a massive fiji anemone in my current tank, will they host in that? I'm looking for opinions, experiences, and pictures. Thanks!

Heres is my anemone. I never got an actual ID on it. Both of my clowns don't host in it, my Allard does hang out around it but won't actually host it.

Looks like you anemone is a Haitian Reef Anemone Condylactis sp.They dont host much but will.I have a pair of Tomatos in one.I am really hateing it.I was happy with it about a weekago because it never moved but now moves all over the place.

It is a condy? I thought those were white with colored tips.

My anemone has settled in a good spot and hasn't moved in months. I think I might keep it, i've grown to like it.

This is my current rock set up (plus what I got in my 46.) I think i'm going to have an anemone rock. Maroons will host in a BTA right?

I have a Maroon pair hosted by a BTA in my setup. Maroons are my favourite species of clown. Not for everyone due to size and aggression, although the aggression can vary from one individual to the next and also whether it's a pair and they're producing eggs.

Based on what I've read regarding other Maroon owner's experiences, my female is probably less aggressive than most, but she will defend her mate & the territory around the BTA fiercely if she feels threatened. That includes my hand if I'm in there cleaning up and get too close. She's only ever bumped or attempted to bite once and no harm done, but I've read posts where blood is drawn on an attack by a Maroon. I think Tomatos are similar in that regard, they don't mess around and seem to know where to strike for maximum effect.

I can't imagine my tank without the Maroon pair, it's great to watch them tend their BTA and the rockwork around it.

Here's the best I can come up with at the moment as far as photos. I started a thread about my BTA attempting to split last week and made this. You can see Mama clown in the background keeping an eye on things.
