<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Maroon clownfish>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

To make a long story short,
I had a reef tank and a fish only tank,in the reef i had a small reg. maroon.
In the fish only i had a large gold stripe.

Now i only have one tank that everything was moved to including the two maroons. Now i was worried sick that the gold stripe would kill the small maroon(since he or she is very aggresive).

To my surprise as soon as i added the gold stripe which was two days after i added the smaller maroon they hit it off like crazy.I was floored!!!!

Now its been almost two months and they still get along great. My question is two parts

Ist should i introduce one, two, or no anenomes in the full reef tank?

2ND will they pair since one is a gold stripe and the other is not?

Thanks DH

They are already a pair or they would be fighting. Second you take the chance whenever you put an anemone in a reef tank. I do it all the time and have never had any problems, but I am sure others have had problems. I would try to get a carpet as they seem to move in the lower parts of the tank, but do they host maroon clowns, I am thinking no, but could be wrong. All my clowns love BTAs especially the maroons. BTAs will move about if they are not happy, mine have always stayed put unless splitting then they sought shade.

1).Just do one anemone! They will both host the same anemone!Ive got one in a reef tank!No problems at this point(knock on wood).

2).Sounds as if they have become a pair. Not a mated pair but a pair that has ben able to accept and handle each other. And FYI maroons gold or white will pair they are the same species!
