maroon clowns and other fish?

Hi, I currently have a pair of maroon clowns in my 75gal (with an LTA) - all have been very happy for the last year and there have never been any other fish in the tank.

I would like to add one or two additional fish but am concerned with how aggressive the female clown can be. Ideally i would like to get a yellow tang or some other macro algae eating fish to help keep the macro under control....any thoughts or suggestions or am i stuck with the "curse of the clowns".

Thank you.

mmm.. I wouldent worry to much. just pay attention to the shape and colors of the new fish u get. like... a red flame hawk mightbe a bad choice.

I have 2 maroons in a bta and was pretty stressed out about adding anything else.

Eventually I added a tang. and to my suprize my maroons actually LEAVE the bta and swim around with it. there was never any aggression, even at feeding time. they really like eachother!

i used to have mated pair of gold stripe maroon clown and did well with wrasses like a yellow coris wrasse and pair of sifter gobies... they ignore dem pretty well

Well I would add one at night after the lights go off. My maroon won't let me put anything in the tank now. She's over 5 yrs.

I have a maroon yellow stripe in my 120 along with a yellow tang, a purple tang and a mated pair of white striped damsels (which I would not recomend, they will fight with the clown and visa versa) But everyone seems very happy and the clown bothers nobody except the damsels (but they pick)

I had a mandarin a few months ago, the maroon did not pay attention to it, but at that time I had a mantis in the tank and he got the mandarin :( I have since caught the mantis :)
