Maroon clowns? Tell me all about them.

I'm trying to gather information on maroon clowns before I commit into buying them. They are going to be the main fish in the tank, so aggression is no an issue. So go ahead, and tell me all about them.

What size tank do you have?

Anyways, I'm a newbie but I did read up heaps on them and they are indeed one of the more aggressive species of clownfish out there, if not the most aggressive (which you seem to already know).

They are hosted by BTAs in the wild, but can be hosted by many other anemones that also host clownfish (if not all of them).

They have similar pairing behaviour as any other clownfish, and changes sex just like 'em. :)

There are two varieties, one with white stripes, the other with yellow.

And er, they grow quite large (for a clownfish).

Are maroons more likely to take to corals if there's no anemone because I hear that they take to anemones much easier than other clownfish?

One of my preferred fish, female close to 14 years old. Other fish i. My old 150 g tank would be stuck in the corners when they laid eggs in the middle of the tank. Amazing fish despite agressivity. Wondered wether to move them to my 400 g and finally decided to have them retire in a 27G with a nice RBTA

I have a pair of gold stripes in my 150 gal DT. Pic here.

Aggression towards all my other fish is, surprisingly, not much of an issue; but aggression towards "the hand" is pretty bad. The female will either ram me or bite me. It's no big deal right now, but I know from past experience that as she grows (and so will her mouth/teeth) that eventually she will be capable of drawing blood.

The only other thing I find annoying about her is the constant fanning of the sand with her tail. She throws the sand everywhere and sometimes causes my tank to be cloudy. They are beautiful fish, but I think next go around I will try more peaceful clowns.
