While that strategy can work with some fish, the maroon clown tends to get more aggressive as it ages so I wouldn't expect much success. Many folks here have tried mixing clownfish species and it's been seen over and over again that maroon clowns simply do not play well with others, with the exception of the mating process with another fish like itself, which is an adventure in itself.
