Maroon killing the anemone?

I have i believe a condalyctis (sorry about the spelling) anemone for about 2 months now that has been doing great and growing fast. I recently added about 2 weeks ago maroon clown to the tank. For the first week and half he just hung out behind rocks. about 3 days ago it is seems like he just discovered the anemone and leaves it for only seconds at a time and only leaves the anemone to get food when i feed. Since the clown has been doing this, the anemone is shrinking in size and the tentacles are really thin. is this bad?

The anemone is getting used to hosting the clown; is the actual oral disc smaller? Are the tentacles really thin like it's expelling waste, or actually getting smaller?

Nice condy, looks a lot like mine.

I've seen my condy inflate/deflate every few days or sometimes in just a matter of hours. Just this Monday, the hose popped off my MJ-1200 and was shooting directly at my condy. When I arrived, I found him tucked into the corner and deflated. Quickly shut off the pump, put the hose back on, then just a few hours later he was inflated and on the move again.

Do you target feed your condy?

Is the oral disc the part that actually attaches to the live rock? if it is, then it is the same size. maybe slightly smaller

I have this kent concentrated food stuff that I add 3 drops into a cup of water from the sump, stir up and then dump back in the sump. up until now it was growing fast and appeared to be thriving so i stuck with it

The oral disk is the part of an anemone that the tentacles come from and the mouth (oral) is located. The basal disk (foot) is the part that is attached to the rock/substrate.

Condylactis Anemones usually dont host ANY clownfish. It could be getting stressed, but if ya lucky it could actually host a clownfish. I hope things go well for you.

Looking at the picture, the clown seems to be around the same size as the condy. GSM are notoriously hard on anemones -- ideal the anemone should be 3 times the size of the clown.

It´s really hard telling how bog an anemone really is, are we talking abour fully extended anemone?
