maroon not going to host

I currently have a rose anenome. I just purchased a tank raised maroon clown. It has been 24 hours in the tank and will not go near the rose. What is strange is that I have a damsel that is showing aggresive behavior to the clown and the clown won't go near the rose for protection. What is the issue?

In another tank I had clarki that darted to the anenome. I was also given advice to go with maroon. "Should be a perfect clown" How long do you think it will take? A couple of days?

It can last to a year or even never host. All depends on the clown, don't pressure anything. Let nature take its course.

if you can find a picture of a maroon hosting an RBTA then stick it up to the side of the tank near the anemone and it might work

I had a sebae that an ocellaris would not host for months untill someone told me of that trick. I stuck the picture up to the side of the tank and went to bed and I woke up to find him deep in the anemone. Very strange, but cool.

I will give it a try. Sounds off the wall but I will try it. Why does that sometimes work?

Great news! Came back from work and he was in the rose. I tried the picture for 2 days no luck. Tried the tube feeding pellets down the tube, no luck. Tried to be patient.....priceless! Thanks for everyones input.

I have a pair of Ocellaris Clownfish for about two months and Green Bulb Tip Anemone for almost 4 months and no luck hosting, I am going to try the picture next to the tank trick and see if it works.
