I have 1 that has white stripes but there's a hint of gold in them.. Will they fade to all white or will the gold come out? Is this due to age or what?

There are two maroon clowns a WSM = white stripe maroon and a GSM = gold stripe maroon. Like garygb said - sounds like you have a GSM who is developing her color.

She's pretty big, figured she would be colored up by now.. Either way i love Gsm's ! It's pretty weird b/c the only other fish i have is a 6 line who is alot smaller than the clown and its the boss of the tank! Figured the clown would hold its own.. The 6line swims around 'flashing' all day lol..

Sixlines are just jerks...lol

Hopefully your maroon will develop nice rich gold stripes for you, in spite of the little wrasse's bullying :D

If the maroon is young it will probably develop gold stripes. If not then it could be a case of incomplete dominance in the phenotype. I have a GSM female and the male has a gold tint on the first stripe but the rest are white. He is over 2 years old... so it seems like neither the recessive or dominant trait completely determined the color.
