My still to be IDd (not sure if myagi tort or loripes.) grows more like a myagi tort in DT and a loripes in Frag tank :) was acquired from a wild accro shipment... in touch with Rosaria so both get a fragging.

Time to update this thread again. last july I flew back home for 2 weeks and had a long list of things to do on the tank.
1st was the basement electrical which had become a hazard and an annoyance with many system components added and cables panning back and forth from home to basement. the worst wsa adding the apex half of which is in the basement and some modules up nest to the DT and I wanted my wife to be able to switch to regular plugs from home bypassing the Apex in case it died for some reason, which lead to a ridiculous amount of cabling going back and forth...
37384403182_380e370e2e_o.jpg

took 3 days for those cables to be identified and tagged both near display and in basement and then they were all routed to a new pannel on a wall far from that tank to avoid humidity and water splashes and also make it easier to access and both neater and safer
37393672962_764cda5e41_o.jpg

this tank was used as temporary tank when my tank seam failed, still not sure if i'll convert into a butterfly and angels tank with SPS or just use as frag tank... but at least now wall behind it has no cables anymore.

Also added a power stabilizer to protect return pumps and skimmer from power surges
37384396602_bb1ba3a337_o.jpg

more than a year ago I also purchased an automatic neck cleaner for my skimmer. finally had the time to install it and over the last couple months I can see improved performance especially that I'm not there to clean the neck every week or so.

my return pump had also been struggling lately after having run for many years. so I could see decreased performance and added sound and it also pulled around 16 amps on startup (we're on 220 V so in 100v that's 32 Amps)
so ordered a replacement of the same model as it performed well so far. it's rated for around 20000 LPH (5500 GPH) and delivers around 12000 LPH (3300 GPH) effective after head loss. this is around 8 times tank volume but as I have the return split in two and have seaswirl and motion on them it also serves as added redundant flow in the tank.

front basket is for self priming (this is a pool pump by origin) so can be removed.

As I expect to add a few fish in coming period I worked on the fish quarantine setup, on left on blue stand a 30G Q tank and a 30 G sump, hang on the back filter, skimmer and UV, can always separate if I need to treat more fish in separate tanks... on right side on top is 65 G tank with hang on the back filter and skimmer for larger fish, below it a 20 litre Q tank with hang on the back filter and skimmer
37171099850_a77443a974_o.jpg

also added a new 70G coral Q tank with skimmer, heater and chiller

here's how the fishroom in basement now looks.

36847460304_ae0225c7e5_o.jpg

Rt to left, a 26 G nano Cube which will soon be scaped and restarted. in the middle 2 frag tanks on top of each other and to the left a tank I'm not sureif ill turn into an sps with angel or butterfly tank or a frag tank below it is the sump linking all tanks with tank at home. . white barrel on the edge is the semi automatic water change system allowing me to change 80 G without stopping the system.

today is exactly one year since tank seam failed and it had to be replaced.
I also faced a velvet outbreak around Feb Mar which cost me half of my fish, so a year full of setbacks. Since then I waited few months before strating to add fish.
will work on more updates as I have been very busy lately and couldn't update the thread.
so to start with her's how the tank looks now.

Rubrisquamis,
I lost my old rubrisquamis more than a year ago and loved how much character nd color he added to the tank. so added this one. Still has a long way to get final male colors.
38976437561_69c5afab32_o.jpg

also added an exuisite to replace one I had and which I also lost to jumping before adding a screen.
38976435191_67d4bec04c_o.jpg

around 3-4 months back I added 4 Pyramid butterflies and they have since then become the highlight of the tank.

Chocolate tank to replace the pair I previously had. those were great at picking algae all day long and looked nicer as they grew larger. might try to add a second one in the future as well.

After loosing my bellus pair in the velvet outbreak and after way to much bad luck with Geniacanthus species for some weird reason I finally got lucky with 2 semifasciatus females. they were initially a trip with a nice male which got a sever eye infection for weeks in Qt and I couldn't cure him till he diesd after being blind for weeks. Not sure if Ill add a third female to get a trio. can't wait for one to turn male.
