I just mounted my Mars Aqua light. Figured I'd post for some one interested in mounting light but not from ceiling. I used aluminum flat stock and channel from big box stores.i mounted the unit to piece of three quarter conduit that I bent with a bender off shelf in the store.it was easy and cheap maybe 15 bucks total. I didn't really keep track.im pretty happy with the way it came out. Now I will try post photos. This is my second attempt.http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=348197&stc=1&d=1460832640

Just measured par on my mars. Not sure how to export the saved data off the seneye yet. And honestly can't remember the numbers. I'll post them when I figure it out xD

Out of curiosity, why the U shaped peice between the 2. Why not just another piece of flat stock? Bending maybe?

Hey homer I'm not exactly sure what u mean. If you're talking about the conduit clamp I have just resting on top of the channel inthat second picture.thats what I used to attach the conduit to the light or visa versa. Is that what ur asking?

Oh I think I know what u mean. sorry. You mean the piece of channel. Yes more rigid than flat stock. I only used flat stock cuz I had to bend it. And if I had to do it again I probably would used little wider or heavier flat stock.

It mounted to a three quarter piece of plywood.maybe three or four inches wide.runs from floor to about top of stand. Screwed that to the stand and mounted the conduit to that via conduit straps.I can always loosen straps and raise or lower the light. Right now it's 10 inches off top of tank.

Very nice man. I wish I would have seen this a year ago when I set up my 125. Not I have something that I hate but the only way I can change it is to break down the tank which isn't going to happen lol.

That's pretty high. I took lenses off. How high above surface is light mounted?

How do you take the lenses off? I imagine this gives you a much better spread of light? I have 3 of them over my 6ft tank and I can definitely see where the lights overlap and where they don't. I have been messing with the idea of buying a 4th light but this may be a better option.
