Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share my DIY top assembly for mounting my 2X Mars Aqua 165W LED's. I am personally not a fan of hanging lights from a ceiling so I built this stand for about 20 bucks in lumber and stain from Home Depot and matched the stain to my bottom stand. Heres a before during and after. Its nothing crazy but if anyone was looking for similar ideas I really like it. All the cuts were done with a standard Miter saw.

I switched from my T5 fixture due to issues with 2 light banks going bad.

Final product:

I have the 300w mars aqua atm I wasn't impressed with hanging either you did a great job I'm just not a fan of light leak

I really didnt notice the light leak, I am also use to that T5 fixture from the first pic. Pretty much made my house look like I running a grow operation out of my living room. The camera adds to the lighting your seeing, its not as bad in person.

Here is what I did for mine, some electrical conduit and 2 hole clamps

Looks great I was originally looking at using conduit, unfortunately I have no access to the back of my tank. The conduit would have to come from the sides and I didnt like that idea.
