Mars Aqua Mounting

I got 2 MarsAqua lights today and have a little problem.....

Has anyone mounted these inside a standard hood? And if so how did you do it? I included a picture of hood.

Also if that doesn't work I have the Aqueon glass lids on the tank. Can I set the light directly on there?

The heat will burn out the led if sitting on glass.

I used pocket door rails and drilled holes for the trucks in the fixture. Should be some pics in the Marsaqua thread. Make sure you have the clearance and install a handful of low noise 12v fans for air circulation.
