Hi,

I see that you are currently out of stock of cured MI. Do you know when you will be restocked? I will need 55 pds in about a week or so. Thanks!

Gary

Hi Gary,

Unfortunately I just received word that there will most likely not be any Marshall Island rock shipments coming out of there until end of September or early October.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Have you thought about the Kaelini at all? This same rock is also sold as Uaniva on other websites. It's from Tonga, and actually has a great amount of life and nice shapes.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hey Jeremy,

I'm really bummed out that you dont have any MI. Is the Marshall Island's government to blame? Kaelini is nice, but do you think its as nice as MI? I am willing to wait for your next shipment of MI. Are you pretty positive that you'll have MI by the end of September? Thanks bud!

Gary

Yes, it is the Marshall's gov't that has caused the issue. We are awaiting a quicker solution to the issue, but it seems like late September or early October is going to be the best we can come up with.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I don't want to sound like a jerk, but is there a reason that the Kaelini goes up $1/lb when cured while everything else only goes up 50 cents/lb when cured. Does it take longer (and thus more $$$ on your part) to cure? Just curious. I recently helped a military family set up a nano and I was planning to send them to you for some MI, but now it sounds like I should steer them to the Kaelini instead.

Thanks,
-Kevin

This is just our price structure. We have actually had price increases in the last couple of years on Marshall and Fiji for the uncured, but not the Kaelini. The uncured to cured price of the Marshall and Fiji used to be $1.00/lb difference before those price increases. We have not had to increase the uncured price of the Kaelini yet though.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I'm debating if its worth waiting another month or so for the next shipment of MI or should I go with the Kaelini. I've had the MI before and loved it. I believe you have stated that the Kaelini is better than the Fiji and almost as good as the MI. What makes the MI better than the Kaelini in your estimation? Is this due to color, shape of rock, weight? Thanks bud!

Gary

Hey Jeremy,

As far as you know is the next shipment of Marshall Island LR still on target for the end of September or beginning of October? If you can would you please give me your best estimate since this will have a big impact on my planning. Thanks and have a great day!
