How much does it cost to use the Zeovit system per month?
are you doing parameter testing to accompany the zeovit system?
The first month to get started I bought the medium size bottles. I spent 200.00. Breaking it down the first month I used zeolites, Zeobak,Zeostart3 and Sponge Power. I used $92.00 worth. The second month I added carbon and changed out 60% of zeolites. I used $43.18 worth. The third month will cost me $49.38. The fourth month will cost me $31.00. The zeolites are good for 6-12 weeks. I will change out every other month (8weeks). 1 bag of carbon is good for 2 months. Now when it is stable I will add in Zeofood7 1.84 a month. coral snow would be dose twice a week cost 6.72 a month. There may be some others. So maybe looking at 50.00-75.00 a month. That is also on the high side I did round up on some. Of coarse if you tank is small it will cost less. Right now Everyone that sell KZ products have them on sale so I stocked up. The price would go up 25% when they go off sale. Before I started I noticed they would put KZ on sale twice a year. I hope that stays the normal. So I can stock up twice a year. How much does it cost to use the Zeovit system per month?
Everything sounds spot on to me, all the right checks and quantities! When I started my tank with the zeo cycle and new rock, I had about 3 or so months of some green cyano and dino's in the tank. I simply kept up the dosing with just the basics, as you're doing, and it went away once the tank was settled nicely. You might find it lasts a little bit longer as you have a little more dry rock than I did.Ok I figure water volume is somewhere between 165 and 175 gals. So I dose zeobak 7 drops 3 times a week except after zeolite change. I did 7 drops every other day for 2 weeks , Zeostart 1.2ml (.6 in morning & .6ml At night daily) Sponge Power 7 drops daily.
I have KZ carbon In mesh bag, I used 500ml. Zeo reactor is Flowing 1/2 gal at 11 seconds. That should be 163 flow rate. I do have small pieces on the bottom. I will put them in a bag once I change them out. I check everyday that it is still flowing and not stopped up. I pump it at least once a day but most days I do twice a day. I pump it at 630am in the morning when I dose zeostart and then at night when I dosing the other zeostart. My reactor is after my skimmer and before return pump. they each have their on section in the sump.
