Mask for ~$100

I have a bigger face (I'm 6'4") and I use a Mares X Vision. Retail is around $100 but I got mine from scubatoys.com for like $50 IIRC. Great with a regulator and a snorkel. Only mask I need anymore, very comfortable, phenomenal field of vision. My $.02.

If I can be of any assistance, let me know. The mask I have is the same as the poster above you. The mask fits me real well and I'm pretty happy with it. Its the one I like the most out of the 4 or 5 I have. I guess it fits a wide variety of people because you know how huge I am. ;)

PS. You already paid a fortune for your certification from a certain LDS, dont feel obligated to blow your wad there.

So I got down to the dive shop this afternoon and tried a couple of mask's on. There were 2 there that seemed to fit well, and I liked what I could see out of them... I had some help from one of the guys I did my training with (Paul).

The US Divers "Look" mask ($75) fit pretty well, and I liked the vision out of it. I've got a funny shape to the side of my head, and usually that's where the mask's leak on me. This one had a larger flange, and covered that dent pretty well.

The ClearVu Mask ($86) was the other one that seemed to fit well.. I had a lot of trouble w/ some of the masks around my nose, and the guy helping me said make 'fit' the #1 priority, view second, everything else... really doesn't matter.

I liked the US Divers one the best, but am going to try going to at least one other shop, to see if a different selection turns up any more options. They had some masks there by ScubaPro, and one of the other 'big names" I'd heard before... about a dozen in total available to try on.
