Master DOC vs Comline DOC

Are there any performance differences between the master doc and comline doc if they are capacity ratings are the same? For example the 9020 and 9420 are both rated for 528 gallons.

The 9020 has the advantage of collection directly to a bucket without the need to empty a collection cup and the 9420 has the needle wheel technology with the option to add another Hydrofomer pump to double performance.
I have used both skimmers and find they perform very well the 9020 is more compact.

Do you feel that the 9420 could handle a heavily stocked 280g?

I think the 9420 performs better then the 9020 from my experience, plus if you are concerned you can easily upgrade with the addition of a pump.

Can you tell me how much space the Master DOC takes up in the sump?

I see the Tunze web site says it has a diameter of 18.8", but it looks like it would need less space for the model with only one pump.

You would get it down to 17.5 inches with about half inch clearance this would be a tight fit.
