mated pair-male clown fish died, replacement questions

My husband bought me a mated pair of misbarred clown fish for Valentines day, Well the female survived and the male went down hill and died that night. Our conclusion is he just couldn't handle the stress and died or he could have had a hidden illness with a combo of the stress (Yes we properly acclimated them both by turning off the lights, hour acclimation, moving rocks around to distract the fish). We also watched him closely at the fish store and he acted very lively and fine. We called the LFS and they asked us to bring in a water sample, our water tested good on all parameters and they agreed to replace our male with another male black and white clown fish in the next 2 weeks. My only concern is will the female hurt or be aggressive to the new male since she will be a lil more established by that time? I am sure everything will be fine since we are getting the male very soon. I just want to be prepared.

Well I feel a little better after reading the info about pairing clown fish.
It is now confirmed that all should be fine with the new fish just as long as it is not another male. If there is anything else I should keep in mind, please let me know :)
