Hey all,
I will be receiving a mated pair of naked clowns with white cheeks in about two weeks. They will be going into my 12g tank and then likely into my 25g once it is set back up. I had to take it down due to a defect in the actual tank. Was worried the tank would crack spilling water and livestock everywhere so everything has been temporarily relocated.
Anyhoo, I'm assuming that these fish require the same care as regular clowns do since they are basically just a variation on coloring/patterning. I am interested in possibly raising some of the fry in the future (undecided here). What exactly needs to be done/bought in order to raise clownfish fry? Is there a large demand for naked clowns with white cheeks? Don't want to raise them if I can't find any takers.
Am interested to hear everyone's ideas and thoughts about whether I should try to raise the fry or not. I have not raised any livestock except fragging corals and selling the babies of my mini carpet anemone. I have no experience with spawning fish. Heck, I've never even had two of the same fish in the same tank before so there was no possibility of spawning. I also realize that it might take them months to spawn once I do get them as they will have to become accustomed to their new environment. Just wanted to consider all options. Thanks for any advice!
