material question HELP!!

I have to move my tank to a lower area of the house. Im planning on using a plastic 45g tote with a vapor barrier (basement) to separate the water from the oils in the tote.
Q: is the vapor barrier harmful for a reef tank, please help im moving today.

You shouldn't need any barrier. If the tote is made of polyethelyne (like Rubbermaid), then it should be saltwater safe.

A tote if fine, just be mindful how much you put into it. ( don't want a handle to rip of while moving)
