Mating pair maroon clownfish

I'm just 18 months into the hobby started out with a 40 gal, tank and as 3 weeks ago upgraded to a 90 gal reef tank I had purchased a pair of mating maroon clowns with my set up the pair had been kept at the store for 45 days prior to being placed in my tank at set up beautiful fish with no signs of aggression to one another the female has been the hog of the hoisting anemone as soon as the pair were placed into my tank she began fanning a clear spot in the substrate and now for the last 3 days the male has become very aggressive towards her shredding her fins apart any thoughts of what's going on? and will her fins re-grow too normal? I'm scared they will over stress leading to a possible health issue I have noticed a brown spot on the male
