I caught my matted filefish munching on my Haddoni's foot..
This filefish was supposedly a proven aiptasia eater.. it didn't really touch the aiptasia in my tank, but it was coral safe. So I kept him..
Today, few months later, I relocated my green Haddoni after some re-arrangements.. I left the foot exposed, waiting for it to attach. Then I saw this filefish staring at the Haddoni for a minute and went to town.. munching chunks out of the foot, bite after bite.. I tried to scare it away with the feeding stick but this filefish got some sick foot fetish.. I had to bury the foot so it couldn't eat it anymore.. caught the fish and tossed it into the FOWLR tank..
I feed my tank 100% frozen food 2-3 times a day. These fish are fat.. I don't think this is an underfeeding problem.
so just a little warning to everyone.. they may not be 100% anemone safe..
