In addition to waterproofing the stand if you didn't noticed I also raised the sumps. I hate when water is spilled than trapped underneath. I raised the with 3/4 plywood, sealed and caulked them so no water would get underneath. I used extra foam that was under the tank for the sumps as well.

Not sure if I mentioned it but I used standard white PVC fittings the colored fittings are not pressure tested. Just painted them with Krylon spray paint.

Plumbing is complete. Took some time to get everything in position in order to fit the pipes and everything underneath without it looking messy. Still need to add some pipe clamps to keep everything from rattling but not quite sure where I can mount those yet.

Next step was to figure out where I wanted to mount the doser. I went with the new GHL Doser 2. My previous tank that was in this location had the doser in a bathroom closet that sits right behind the wall but I wanted to display this one. After going back and forth with a bunch of different ideas I decided to try and make some kind of floating shelf above the dosing containers and it turned out pretty good. Really happy with how it looks. I made it out of aluminum angle iron and painted it black.

Trying to figure out your fuge/frag area. Looks like you have it draining from the bottom? Water level will be same as return area. You have a drain there AND a feed? Why not place a baffle in there or the drain/overflow higher up so you can maintain a higher water volume for more macro, frags, etc....

Build looks amazing so far. That's the funnest part! Everything is top notch. Looking forward to this badboy coming alive!

OK after looking at it again, looks like you probably have one of your emergency drains going to the fuge. Make sure its the trickle drain, not the true emergency. Not sure that little connector pipe will handle the flow of a true emergency. I'm sure you already thought of that though, LOL!

It's hard to see from the pic but the line that connects the two sumps has a valve on it. I will be able to control the flow and the water level with that.

Dangerous. Even moreso with the valve. If that gets clogged with a chunk of chaeto, you'll have an overflow quick. Keep in mind what you will have in there. Even if you put a screen on it, it can still clog quickly. I would put a second pipe higher up as an emergency drain. Not trying to rain on your parade. I just see that as a potential problem. Also looks like it would be easy access for a rogue snail. Hope this helps...
