Max Tank Size on 2nd Floor Condo

I thought I'd just throw this out there. If I were to upgrade from my 28 gallon jbj nano cube to something bigger, what would you all say is the safe max size including sump and stand weight.

I got an itch...

As long as you place the tank perpendicular to the floor joists and along a load bearing wall you should be fine with a fairly large tank.

What the floor will hold is one thing, what it will hold long term and not sag over time is another, so w/out knowing your framing and layout it is a guess.
60-90g should be no problem, as long as spanning on solid joists/framing, bigger than that really depends and will vary

i don't have any tanks in mind, nor have i bought one yet. i guess i'm just thinking out loud and seeing what other ppl have done. I'm unsure of my floor layout as well. but i'll look into it.

this is good info to start or stop me from getting a bigger tank. and yes i own this place.
