Maxi-Jet 1200 for mixing salt?

yea it will work wonderfully.

like mentioned above, it could be used on tubs up to 50 gallons without a problem.

Just make sure the salt stays suspended

It'll be fine.

FWIW, I used a MJ 1200 in a 32g bucket for a while. Sometimes the salt would settle in one little part of the bucket, but you just have to shake the cord of the pump (up and down usually works) and it will redirection itself. This usually gets rid of the last bit of salt. I put a Seio 820 in my mixing bucket since I had an extra laying around, works just as well (still have dead spots)

I agree with that it would be fine, but i think that in a 5 gallon bucket your probably going to have water on the floor, it is diffently a overkill, you could save on cost and down size to a mag700 which would still be more than adequate.

Mag 7 - 700gph at $59.95 at 70W
Maxi-jet MP1200 - 295gph at $29.95 at 20W

Uhhmmm....Don't see it.

I used a maxi-jet 1200 in a 5 gallon bucket and its fine.

I use the mag 7 since I already had it but the MJ1200 should work, my mag 7 is also the pump I use to do water changes which only takes me about ten minutes.

yeah my bad, i just miss read when skimming down the threads, thought he was talking about the mag 1200 pumps,

yeah i feel stupid
