On a similar note, has anyone gotten their 1200 to last for more than a few weeks? I finally gave up on mine, I tried one of them and either the shaft would spin and wear out the cross brace or the base of the impeller would dig into the plug on the end of the shaft. I would say I am above average when it comes to tinkering with things like this but it has me stumped.

Gary have you tried them on a timer (wavemaker)? I got Angela's mods (has anyone heard from her and how the birth went?) from you played with them for abit and no success. Maybe next meeting I can bring them with me and you help out with the final touches of construction. My goal with these was to have a powerhead like my seios that could be run on my neptune jr as wavemakers. Also I have to know... how did you have the wife go for 200lbs of live rock sitting in rubbermaids in the living room??!!?? Maybe my wife should hang out with yours so some of that could rub off on her.

It all came with the 180 stuff and she knows I'm intent on setting up another semi large tank, so she knows I'll need most of the rock. That and lots of margaritas and she's been cool with it. I'm sure to wait on telling her my plans until we are at the Mexican restaurant with a few stout margaritas in her
. I'm running a ASM G5 (2-Sedra 9000) in the tubs for skimming, so I had to do the gate valve mod to shut it up some, but she's been cool about it all. She's more ticked at the noise from my MRC MR2 than anything else... I've got a good one.
