maxi mini?

I am interested in possibly searching for a maxi mini carpet anemone at macna.

I have a couple questions...
Will these nems sting corals? are any safe from it?
I see some get 2" and some get 4-5" what is the difference and how do I make sure I get a smaller one?
are there any tips on picking a healthy one?

I promised myself I wouldn't get any more anemones but these things are kind of cool.

My experience with them is that they are fine with corals. To be safe, I would let them find their happy spot before I put any corals around them. Once they're there, they don't move around much. Having said that, I've never seen any interaction between the tapetums and corals or other anemones.

As to choosing one, get one that doesn't look bleached and you should be good to go. They're very hardy.

I've had two mini maxis for a month or so now and they moved to a "happy place" and have been stationed there. I bought them separately and they found one another and have since been inseparable. Very hardy and easy to feed, i feed them about twice a week, they love mysis shrimp.

If they get too big, just slice them down the middle through the mouth and sooner than later you'll have little round ones again.
