Maxi Mini's with other anemones?

I've read that different anemone species shouldnt coincide in the same aquarium because of chemical warfare and stuff, but does this also apply to maxi minis or like rock anemones with the "common" anemones like BTAs and whatnot?

you can always run carbon to help with chemical warfare..ive seen tank with multiple species of anemones and were beautiful..they were ran with carbon 24/7.. it prolly depends on the size tank as well..im sure someone will let ya know for sure.

I keep 5-6 maxi-minis in with my blue Haddoni. They all co-exist just fine (touching even). I also have maxi-mini's in several other tanks with BTA's, and a Gig (different tanks). So far, no problems.

I also have a rock anemone on the opposite side of a 75 gallon from a huge RBTA. No problems there, and they've been together for about 3 months.

I've heard they're bad to sting corals. I'm not sure about other anemones. You might want to do a search on this forum and see.

anemones use physical warfare via shed nematocysts and direct contact.

Stichodactyla tapetum can co-exist just fine with other Pacific carpet anemones IME.

It's also my experience that Heteractis magnifica may seek out both mini and mini maxis to kill them.

That's wild.

Do you think that being in the same genus is what lets S. tapetum coexist with larger carpets?

I took a pic tonight to try and show the carpets all living together. The Maxi-Mini's are mainly along the top rocks.
