Maxijet Induced Weather in Tank

Some people have said that the modded maxijets can cause sandstorms in tanks... That's not the only kind of "weather" that they can cause!

Check out this video of one of mine in action.

Should I build a tornado shelter for my fish? :eek2: :mixed:

Gotta love the suction from the top. Sucks for the fish, but that is pretty cool to watch considering I run a seio 1500 at full bore about the same distance down from the top and don't get anything like that.

REALLY??? I actually had to put electrical tape on the top side of my seio 1500's to keep it from pulling a vortex into it. And it's about 5-6" below the surface.

My shroud style with the gutter guard doesn't do that I can run my MJ1200 prop mods with in 3" of the surface and it won't do that. It wouldn't be to hard to mod the MJmod style shourd to the gutter guard style .

jbrunken I don't know if you can but it would help if you rotated the shroud so the slots don't face up.

On a plus note the clownfish looks it it is having fun!

Photobucket just started offering video hosting for free so this is my first attempt at post a video.

Anyway like I said more open housing don't drag a vortex.

That mod been in the tank for 6 months now .
