Maxijet Stream Swirls

It's Dr. Goodluck Himself
Check out my website for video of my newly-configured tank. Put MJ1200 Streams on Sea-Swirls, had to re-scape to fit the one on the SPS side and cut back the flow from the return a bit.

Swirls on 24/7. MJ Streams on a Chauvet Timer, timer mode, switching every 12min or so. MJs off from midnight to 7am.

I'm loving it. Corals are loving it.

Camera picked up the actinic blue more than the eye ... the tank looks much more white than this. But you get the idea. Closeups of the Swirl-to-MJ Stream mounting also there.

Enjoy!

Dan Nguyen. See the guy who started the Hitchhiker thread.

Thats the guy I was going to have do one for me. I just never sent out my maxi jet. Had to use it for my nano cube.

Great work at great price. I had PA send a new impeller to him.

Try website tomorrow. Uploaded and tested everything so used a lot of bandwidth. It's free hosting. 500gigs a month not bad but today I'm over.

Ostrow,
what is your guess on how much flow they are producing and do they start up the right way each time?

Good looking tank by the way

Thanks!

They seem to push as much as the Tunze 6060, so around 1600-1800. The output is smaller diameter so it is not as diffuse a flow. As these are smaller, they can mount closer to the surface, causing less disturbance in the sandbed.

I have looked really closely to see if they are starting the wrong way or not. If they are it is too fast to tell. These have the stopper so if they do they hit the stopper and reverse direction. I see no nicks yet on the propeller blades. I suspect over time I will though.
