Maxijet syphon?

Hi RC. I heard someone say that they suck all the water out of their sump to clean it my using a maxi jet. How do you do this??

Get some flexible tubing that fits the input of the maxijet and some that fits the output (different sizes IIRC). Attach the output tubing. Submerge the maxijet and attach the input tubing (ensuring it is also full of water). Plug in the pump and use the input tubing as your siphon end. Do you intend to remove all the water, or just use it to suck up gunk?

The easiest is to use a wet dry vacuum. Home Depot sell one for around $25 that fits on top of a 5 gallon bucket.
