Is the Maxi 1200 (295 G/HR) too much for a 20L? I just got some free so I thought I would try one out on this tank. I've some serious water movement in there now. Just a simple yes or no will suffice.

Is that a 20 Long or a 20 liter? For a 20 long, it'll be a lot of motion, but Acropora might like that, for example.

20L, Just have one maroon and a Condy. Yeah, it is a lot of flow. Think the Maroon will get tired of it?

i would say its too much unless all you have are sps in there

look after the 20, there is a L-Long. Im sure yall just misread.

I hate to say it but yes or no. Some corals need a high volume of water flow. If just for fish and low-flow corals I would say no it is not too much. I have MJ900 on a 20 gal QT but think I would go with 1200 if it was a display tank.

I think the fish should be okay. That's not a huge amount of flow for the tank, either, but some corals won't like it. I'd just watch the anemone to see how it takes to the new flow.
